We carry out our Foundation Bookkeeping for all our clients as an absolute minimum. This ensures that your purchases are dealt with and your bank is reconciled fully. It also means that your Cash Flow Forecast, Profit and Loss and your Balance Sheet will be correct.

What's included in Foundation Bookkeeping?

To ensure you know your cash position, we will review and reconcile all the transactions in your bank accounts.

We take care of processing all your purchase invoices, ensuring they are correctly coded and recorded.

We ensure you record, claim and manage all your expenses and that of your team quickly and easily.

To ensure you remain compliant, we will remind you of all key dates for submissions, filing dates, deadlines and payments due such as VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.

At year end we double check your books and make sure everything thing is spick and span, then send them off to your Accountant.

We carry out a quarterly multi point check to ensure your accounts are kept clean and in tip top condition.  We then share this with you so you can see your health score and what great shape your books are in.

Vat Returns​

If your company is registered for VAT, we can prepare your VAT returns and submit online, on your behalf to HMRC. This can be done on a quarterly or monthly basis.

Management Accounts

Rather than a set of accounts just once a year, you’ll receive a fully reconciled accounts each month or each quarter, which help you see exactly how well your business is performing.

Cash Flow Forecast

We’ll work with you to produce and maintain your cash flow forecast to estimate the amount of money that will move in and out of your business, together with your projected income and expenses.

Supplier Payments​

Once your supplier invoices are in Xero, they’ll need paying. We’ll manage your suppliers then set up the payments on your bank, ready for your approval and send remittances to your suppliers.

If you use Xero already but aren’t sure how well your software is set up or functioning, we’ll carry out an in depth health check. 

How a Xero Health Check Works

  1. Enquire about a Health Check
    Fill in our contact form so we can get in touch with you and discuss your Xero data.
  2. Give us access to your Xero account
    Don’t worry, your data is safe and will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.  Once your health check is complete we’ll let you know so you can remove our access.
  3. We carry out your Xero Health Check
    We’ll carry out an in-depth review of your Xero software.  This will take approximately two weeks from when we are given access to your Xero.
  4. You receive a full report
    We will then provide you with a full report of our findings and a checklist of actions to take.  We also schedule a 20 minute follow up phone call for you to ask any questions you may have.

How much does migration cost?

Migrate to Xero for free if you don’t want to bring over any historical data, apart from your debtors and creditors.  If you’d like to bring over any history, please get in touch for a quote.

When can you migrate to Xero?

If you are VAT registered, your migration would take place at a VAT period end or at the end of your financial year.  If you are not VAT registered, we would agree a suitable migration date with you.

How long does it take to migrate to Xero?

The length of time it will take to migrate to Xero depends on the complexity of your current accounting data.  Migrations can take from 2 – 8 weeks.  Once we’ve been able to take a look at your data and discuss your requirements, we’ll be better placed to know how long the migration is likely to take.

Xero is our recommended accounting software for small businesses, but like anything else, to get the best out of it you need to ensure that it’s set up correctly. 

We design an individual Xero implementation plan and set up your bookkeeping system. If you’re already using bookkeeping software, we can design a migration plan instead.  To set up your Xero fully will take around 10 working days.
